Notes: Four-sport (track, football, basketball and baseball)
athlete in high school. Walked on in 1997 and redshirted. Played
tight end in '98 and caught 10 passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns.
Started at wide receiver in '99 and 2000. Was used as a receiving
tight end more in '01. Caught 39-514-2 in 1999 and 35-592-3 in 2000.
Positives: A very big target for a wide receiver and has very good
speed for a tight end or H-back. Catches the ball well. Can adjust
to the off-line pass. Improves every year and made his biggest strides
in '01.
Negatives: Is not quick or sudden enough to separate from tight
man-on-man coverage as a wide receiver. Is not an effective blocker
inside and seems to have a WR mentality.
Summary: Would have a chance as a pass-catching H-back if he
became a little more physical and involved as a blocker.
